Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-30
This policy explains what Clicky Pet (clicky.pet, owned and operated by Lunonia Inc.) keeps about you, why, for how long, and who processes it for us. The short version: you don't sign up, your pictures are deleted a day after their pet is made, your pet's files after 30 days, and we don't sell your data.
1. What we keep and for how long
- A picture you upload, the copy we prepare for the model, and the sheets of parts the model draws that aren't used: kept in our file storage until a day after the pet is made or fails, then deleted (a sheet drawn later, for the extra faces, goes with the pet's files).
- Your pet's files (the PSD, its layers and previews, and the blank canvas and the sheet of parts they were made from, kept so the extra faces can be drawn after the pet is made): deleted 30 days after the pet is made.
- A record of each pet, without the files: its status, why it failed if it did, how many tries it took, how well the parts lined up, timings, and the account and device that made it.
- Moderation records: the time, the pet they belong to, which check it was, the result and the moderation model's answer. Kept long term, so decisions can be reviewed.
- A random device ID, kept in your browser's storage and in a cookie: used to stop abuse of the Service and to keep your choices while you pay.
- Your IP address: used to stop abuse (for example, how many guest accounts or sign-in emails one address asks for in an hour) and to tell which country a visit comes from. We store salted hashes, not the address itself.
- Your account: a guest account kept by a cookie in your browser, made the first time you make a pet or buy; the email you type on Stripe Checkout, which we keep with your purchase to send you the purchase and pet-ready emails and to bring your credits and pets along when you sign in with it on another device; or, once you sign in, your email address. Also your sessions, your credits and credit history.
- A guest account that never bought or made anything is deleted 7 days after it was made. If your things were moved into an account you signed in to, the old browser keeps a note of where they went, with the address shortened (for example j***@gmail.com).
- Payments: Stripe handles your payment details. We receive the payment ID, the product, the amount, the status and the email address you paid with.
- Usage events, linked to the device ID or your account: the page you landed on, the site and campaign that sent you, device type, country, and actions such as making a pet or opening checkout.
- If you joined the Clicky Pet app waitlist (it closed on October 30, 2026): your email, the systems you chose (Windows, Mac, iPhone or iPad, Android), what you wrote about what you'd like the app to do, the page you joined from, and this browser's device ID and account if there is one. Used only to email you once, when Clicky Pet is ready on a system you chose; nothing is sent when you join. Kept until that email is sent, or until you ask us to take you off the list, then deleted.
- If you send a question or wish from the home page: what you wrote, your email if you gave one, the page, and this browser's device ID and account if there is one. Used only to read it and answer you; nothing is sent to the email unless we write back. Kept for 12 months, then deleted.
Records without an end date above are kept until you ask us to delete them (section 5).
2. Your pictures
A picture you upload is sent as it is. It goes to fal.ai for an automated moderation check, to our own code on Modal, which puts it on a plain background, and then to fal.ai again, which runs the image model, to draw your pet, and passes it, through OpenRouter, to Anthropic's Claude Haiku model, which writes what your pet says, its name, its icon and its sound; we ask fal not to keep it in its request history. We delete it a day after the pet is made or fails. We do not use it to train AI models.
3. Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare runs the Service: hosting, the database (in eastern North America), file storage and the emails we send.
- fal.ai (Features & Labels Inc., United States) runs the image model (Nano Banana by Google) on the prepared copy of your picture, and the checks of your picture and of the parts. Through fal, OpenRouter (OpenRouter, Inc., United States) passes your picture to Anthropic's Claude Haiku model (Anthropic PBC, United States), which writes your pet's lines, name, icon and sound. We ask fal not to keep our requests in its request history, and we copy the files it makes into our own storage right away; fal keeps them on its file servers for as long as it sets. Modal (Modal Labs, Inc., United States) runs our own code that prepares the picture and lines up the parts; the files go in and out through our storage, and our code keeps nothing after the request. Anything else about how long each keeps requests is set out in their own terms and privacy policies.
- Stripe runs checkout, payments, receipts and refunds and receives your payment details directly.
- Plausible Analytics, run on our own server (self-hosted), on clicky.pet only, counts which pages are visited and where visitors come from. It uses no cookies and doesn't track individual people. It doesn't store IP addresses or raw browser details: they are combined with a salt that is changed and deleted every 24 hours to count unique visitors per day, and used to work out the browser, operating system, device type and approximate location (country, region, city). It doesn't follow anyone across devices, websites or apps; we only see totals such as page views, referrers and countries. There is no Google Analytics and no Google sign-in.
We don't sell your data.
4. Cookies and browser storage
- Device ID (browser storage and a cookie of the same name): used to stop abuse and keep your choices. Kept until you clear your browser data.
- The picture you chose, when you go to checkout before your pet is made (browser IndexedDB): so the pet starts by itself when you come back; removed when you come back, and not used if you come back more than an hour later.
- Session cookies: your guest account from the first time you make a pet or buy, or your signed-in account; until the session expires (30 days after your last visit) or you sign out. Clearing your browser data ends a guest account; your credits and pets are then reached by signing in with the email you paid with.
- No analytics cookies: Plausible counts visits without cookies, and there is no Google Analytics.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it: email support@clicky.pet from the address you paid with. We complete requests within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your pets, pictures and credits.
We keep moderation records after an account is deleted, without your email address. Payment records kept by Stripe follow Stripe's own policy and legal retention rules.
6. Children
The Service is not meant for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email support@clicky.pet and we will delete it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new date. See also the Terms and the Refund Policy.
